MEET THE ACTOR
JACK BENNETT… ACTOR, MODEL AND SCREENWRITER.
As much as the car business has been a part of Jack’s life for over 30 years his passion is as an actor. A talent honed in the car business. “We’re always acting. We’re always ‘ON’ as they say at Disney. Whenever we are with a customer we must put on a happy face. And as salespeople, we talk to a 60-year-old man, differently then we talk to a 21-year-old woman, and rightfully so. It’s all acting.
And I mean that in the best possible way.”

Jack has been performing for nearly 20 years when he began as a disc jockey and moved into acting and modeling around the Midwest. His resume and demo reel is impressive to say the least. He’s been on “REAL STORIES OF THE HIGHWAY PATROL,” “UNSOLVED MYSTERIES,” and most recently two episodes of, “JUNKYARD MEGA WARS!”

In the late 90’s Jack began screenwriting. “I was tired of waiting to get led into the Promised Land so I thought I could write my own material and star in it. It worked for Stallone!"
That screenwriting took the shape of a car show entitled, "MOTOR CITY SALES," which later morphed into, "TRUST ME." “They say write what you know and I know the car business well. Everybody and their brother has written shows about the car business and every writer in Hollywood has a car dealership script under their arm. The problem is they don’t really know all the nuances of the business. They believe it is a one trick pony. Fast talking guys in bad suits with one hand out to shake and the other one on the customer’s wallet. But those of you visiting this website, or already in the business, know there's a lot more comedy than that.”
Jack has written six full-length feature scripts, two sitcom pilots and two reality shows. “Read the loglines,” He's won or placed in seven screenwriting contests over the years and is aggressively marketing those projects. Are you a writer? Visit Wordplayer.com |
Jack went on to produce his own pilot episode of Motor City Sales. Shot entirely at a friend’s dealership, the 35-minute episode was a big hit, screening at a local theater.
